Don’t Look Bad in 2019—Social Media Post Image Sizes

Full Disclosure—I took these sizes right from other company’s posts on the subject. I hate reinventing the wheel.

This guide is to save my clients time searching. 

I’ve only covered the networks I manage.

LinkedIn, Medium, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter Post Image Sizes for 2019

LinkedIn

Personal Profile Post—1800 x 1200 pixels for both updates with links and no links to web pages

Company Page Post—1200 x 628 pixels for both updates with links and no links to web pages

Article—600 x 322 pixels, same as 2108—so far anyway…

Medium 

Full column-width images—1400 px

Out-set images—2040 px

Screen-width images—2500 px

Facebook

Square—492 by 492 pixels

Portrait—492×738 pixels

Landscape—492×276

Instagram

Square Post—1080×1080 pixels

Story—1080 x 1920 pixels

Twitter

Post—440 x 220 pixels

Google My Business

Post—4:3 ratio

  • Google image standards—
  • Format: JPG or PNG.
  • Size: Between 10 KB and 5 MB.
  • Minimum resolution: 720 x 720 pixels.
